• Vacuuming any loose dust, dirt, or debris from the rubber surface when necessary.
• Occasional damp mopping of the rubber mats with a mild soap and water mixture. Some soaps commonly used include Dawn dish detergent and/or Tide laundry detergent.

Note: Do not use any solvent or oil style cleaners such as Pinesol, Lysol, Murphy’s Oil Soap, WD40, paint thinner, etc. since these types of cleaners will break down the binding strength of rubber flooring over time.

The beauty of Fitmat SQ 15 rubber gym mats that these are easy to install & can be install without glue or glue down installation. This rubber mat can be permanently installed using adhesive glue and it’s an ideal option for commercial flooring uses. Those gym prefer to install on whole gym floor from one wall to other wall, it’s best not to put any glue & if you are doing an island type then it’s better to put glue or strong bonded double-sided tape for the end/edge tiles. This prevent movement of the tiles on the island rubber floor.

• Before beginning to assemble the square gym mats, make sure that the floor area is free of excess dirt, dust, and debris. Also, eliminate any moisture, grease, or oil that may interfere with an efficient installation.

Base Floor Cleaning for rubber tile installation

• The tiles can be laid loose due to their weight or fitted within a border or applied to a solid base with a good grade PU base or polymer base adhesive that is suitable for rubber mats.
• Either measure the center of the floor & chalk mark the center to start installing from the center or start from an edge of the floor but make sure the edges & the wall are in straight line. The safest way to install from the center of the floor but in this case the mats may need to cut on the wall at all side which brings more work to be done.

Tile Installation Direction

• The mats can be install either in checker board style or in brick pattern. We recommend installing brick patter for best result.

• Start by laying out the first row & install both side against the area’s border. For the border tile installation, measure the balance border area, take a full piece of mats & use the same measurement of border to mark the gym mats with a piece of chalk. Use a steel ruler to cut on the chalk line using a sharp utility knife. This is to fit within the required area and lay the mats at the border edge. The next border edge mats can be install at the end once all the full tiles are install on the floor.
